Trailhead Designs laser cuts wood to make maps, coasters, plaques, and other decorative items. We take lakes, cities, and outdoor images and transpose them onto wood using laser cutters and other hand crafted processes. Trailhead Designs makes two kinds of maps: laser cut and engraved maps that are hand painted on oat veneer with a pickling stain to give it a rustic look; and they make printed maps produced in a vintage style. The vintage maps are created to recreate the maps charted and drawn by voyageurs or official town plans.
